As the title says - just about to get some ERG blanking plates and just wonder about the pros and cons - if any - of when they are fitted - not having any problems at the moment or in the last 5+ years so not in a rush to fit them.

From VERY distant memory Ian... She pulled a lot better AFTER blanking the EGR and junking the associated pipework
If anything, there was an improvement in emission levels the following MOT. I'd say it's well worth doing... rather than waiting for the inevitable EGR failiure.

Thanks for the reply Ste - the pulling a lot better is worth it when pulling the caravan.

Deffo worth doing, I thought at the time when i did mine that it pulled a lot better.
