How Doo, not posted on here for a while but have been lurking about the place.
I'm after some help please...
I've got a rear reflector doubling up as a swimming pool for small insects and bacteria

(see pics). Aside from drilling a small weep hole I wondered if anyone else had experienced this problem and if the reflector is changeable. If it is can anyone suggest where I might purchase one?
The water was in there when I bought it so am guessing its Japenese. I just want to get the water out really, anything else would be a bonus
Thanks very much,
Sam.

had this on my daughters 206 headlight I took the bulb out and blew out the moisture with an air line
I think then its best to go around the seals with some sealant to block the way back in for the moisture

Yes it is common, the problem is the lens is glued on, so it cant be removed .i had to drill a small hole at the side to drain the water out.

If that is japanese water you may want to get a radiation suit before getting to involved

I took the whole assembly off which is quite complicated because you have to remove the inner skin from the door and the polythene sheet with all the black sticky stuff round the edges and undo various nuts and bolts and clips etc. I was then able to get most of the water out but not all so I had to drill a small hole anyway. I drilled one in the front because the water wouldn't come out of the back. You can't see it unless you look very carefully. The other side seems OK and looking at other peoples Bongos it always seems to be the nearside one that does it for some strange reason
