Put the nut back on loosely, and tap it (with a piece of wood between)
Used to do it with Minis, worked a treat. Not tried on a Bongo, yet, but it should work OK.

Thanks guys, I needed a bit of confidence to hit it a bit harder.
Used larger hammer and came off no problem.
Thanks Again.
ps. I got the outer boot from local factors, anyone know if inner is the same or also available, they only had outer listed.

Hi Adam,
you should be able to obtain a ball joint boot from your local motor factor, giving them the pysical dimentions will help..

Thanks Teenmal, I didnt think the ball joint boot was replacable, Is it easily done?
That would save a major headache, although I do need the next size up joint splitter!!
Thanks

Hi Adam, this will give you an idea, scroll down the page. You dont need a splitter, just give the carrier a sharp blow on the rounded edge, remove the nut first.

This bit, 33-020 they call it a knuckle.

If you look at the bit that the ball joint fits into, give the rounded side facing the centre of the van a sharp smack right on the centre of the carrier(round bit),the ball joint should jump out.If you are not too sure use a splitter.
Cheers.
