Does anyone have any test figures for the head sensor (the one that feeds the Mazda gauge - positioned at the top/front of the head)
ie voltages?

what are you actually after steve.
ive got several lying around, and a good meter, i can measure the resistance readings at diff temps, or is it in the manual. or do you want the supply/operating voltge.

Hi Ady
Had a look through the manual. All other sensors are covered, but not this one.
What I'm after is the voltage and resistance at various temperatures (up to boiling ideally).
Something getting built here and I think you may be interested - VERY interested - but I need the figures first to see if it's a goer.

steve i tried 3 used sensors, 2 were gen mazda and one was i believe a intermotor copy.
all 3 delivered the same results to plus or minus 0.05 of an ohm so to keep it simple i will just show one set of results.

room temp--- 0.8 of an ohm. (hot day)
50 deg C------0.27.
80 deg C----- 0.1.
88 deg c------0.08.

hope this helps.
digital thermometer used (salters)
good expensive clamp meter used to measure readings.
the only variable is the d*ck holding the terminals   .

Thanks Ady. I'll let you know how the project goes. :D

Could those readings have been in kΩ (Kilo Ohms) rather than Ohms Ady ?
I would be rather surprised if there not :)
