Hi there this is my first post!

Just thought I would give something back, considering the wealth of knowledge i've taken from this site!

Just went to change the glow plugs, after purchasing a set of 83mm NGK items, to find I had the longer plugs fitted (95 M reg)in the van....however after offering the rail up to the 83mm plugs it fits perfectly with no fouling on any other metal parts (metal fuel pipes or solenoid bracket) and with plenty of clearance as well.

So i'm assuming that mine may have been fitted with the 83mm rail??, although it had the longer plugs installed at the factory.

I hope this is of help to others.

Cheers

Martyn

good first post slowpolo.
as you have said some seem to fit ok, others need to be bent, some need to heavily modified, the decider seems to be the height of the injector return/link pipes, im not sure but there seems to be some slightly higher loops on some which foul on the buzz bar.

Hi,
as slowpolo said (So i'm assuming that mine may have been fitted with the 83mm rail)

These vehicles are fitted with different rails for different year, hence the reason for different plugs.

Cheers.

i saw that bit on his post, but ive not noticed ANY differences in the rails ive seen.
the difference must be large enough to be obvious if there is one.
my mrs has short plugs in hers, mine has long plugs, but the rails appear the same #-o .
suppose the parts list could solve the issue   .
