Bongo friendly garage wimborne?

Has anyone used Little Canford Garage in Wimborne for bongo servicing? http://www.littlecanfordgarage.com/
They were recommended to me by the Autovan Services round the corner who use them but it was more a general recommendation than a bongo specific recommendation.
It's walking distance from my work so keen to give them a go but I'm after a garage who know what to look for as it's the first time I will have had it serviced since import.
I've had a quick scan of the bongo friendly garage list and there isn't much else close by that I can work into my daily commute (Downton to Wimborne)
Any help/suggestions most appreciated
Thanks,
Mark

Hello Mark. I'm in the same quandry. I live on the other side of the roundabout to little canford garage. I started using them a couple of years ago for my other vehicle servicing and repairs, didnt have a bongo then. I dont know wether you have been there and tried them but I found them very expensive and the management not very helpful. I wouldnt think they are very bongo savvy either. I now use a mobile mechanic for all my other vehicles but he's never worked on bongos so I'm not risking it.
There are several garages here on the south coast who sell bongos, One in poole, two in southampton at least, one in chichester but they dont seem to do their own servicing, somebody does it but who. Dont think any of them are specialists otherwise we would see posts from people recommending them.
Many times I have noticed posts on this forum recommending Allans at Plymouth as being specialists on Bongos, theres been posts from people as far away as Essex going down there once a year for their annual service and MOT, prices seem reasonable also, thats the sort of recommendation I like and the route I think I will take. It would be a 2-3 hour trip but worth it to have a good job done and peace of mind.
Be interesting to hear your comments and other owners, there are loads of Bongos in this part of the south coast so where do they go for servicing.

Well I dropped the van into Little Canford Garage. The mechanic who worked on it was quite talkative, had worked on quite a few bongos before and was quite helpful when I booked the van in.
However, yes they were expensive and they weren't particularly forthcoming with information when I went in to collect the van - I had to go and find the mechanic and have a quick chat as I had requested minor service + a quick once over (they took it for a road test, checked brakes etc.)
My local friendly independent garage are cheaper and take more time with their customers and have changed a cambelt on a V6 bongo now. Might give them a try next.

Hi

I know this is an old thread, but I wondered if you ever solved your servicing issue. I have recently bought a Bongo and live in Blandford. I want to get it serviced by someone who knows what they are doing, but don't fancy travelling too far. Any recommendations would be most welcome.

Regards

Stedtimber
