Have original front fogs in and they have stopped woking,. Have Checked fuse under bonnet. How do i get covers off to check bulbs. Although i suspect it could be a faulty connection somewhere. Or relay?

The rear covers come off with a bit of a twist anti-clockwise.
If it's not the fuse, it could be the relay. You should be able to hear the relay clicking when the switch is operated.

Thanks will have a look and check relay. The two weak looking spring clips on front edges of lense surely cant be all that is holding front glass on?

No, you take the bulb out from the back.
Twist this black round cover anti-clockwise a wee bit. you may have to slacken off the 3 screws by a turn to make it easier.

AFAIK, they do hold the lens on - but removing it wouldn't be the best way to get to the bulb. Once you remove the back cover, there is a wire spring-clip that is holding the bulb in place.

Hi folks.
Does anyone know what sort of bulb is required for these front fog lights?
I was thinking of replacing the existing ones with something brighter.
There is a helpful list of Bongo bulbs at at
http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... 43&t=50219
but the front fog lights are not on it.
Cheers from Leon

There is more than one type of front fog light & at least 2 different bulbs. Best bet is to take one out to check which it is.

check to see if you have a switch on the dash marked a/b, this alternates when switched between front fogs and driving/spots if fitted, these are rare, but mine has one fitted as standard.
if everything else is ok it maybe the connection under the drivers headlight where the supply leaves the main loom. this is the feed to the relay etc. it goes from the bottom of the drivers headlight up over the front rad, then down under the passy headlight to the relay.
remove grill, drivers side headlight then look down, there is a 2 wire connector (both positive). this connector will have a pretty green colour growing on it.

. cut the wires and replace the connection/s.

Just a quicky, might be of use.
I took my drivers side headlight off and the foglamps stopped working both sides.
There is a connection behind the headlamp that had corroded through and fell apart.
Its a two pin white connector block.
It loops through to the other (passenger side) one

Why would you want a brighter bulb in a fog light? We hardly get enough fog in this country to worry about it and they are primarily for being seen, not for seeing. Because of the type of lens in a fog light I can't imagine that a brighter bulb will make much difference anyway.
