It looks likely that we've got a cracked head due to the usual overheating nightmare.
Unfortunately our local mechanic won't be able to do it for a few months but we need the Bongo fixed!
Anyone recommended around Scarborough/York way that might be able to do such a job?
Think we need a new head :( anyone recommended?

Well, despite much of what's said and what a couple of garages told us, I didn't want to believe it was the head gone.
So, I changed the rad cap, stat and water pump.
Then, I followed the youtube videos about how to properly bleed the Bongo.
And............since then, the van has been perfect, for 2 months!!
I think the problem was most likely air in the system which is hard to get rid of without 3 people and the right method to tackle it.
So, for now, we are very happy!!

Ive just been through all this..working on it for weeks and weeks,changed the lot did 1500 miles,but then had to admit that it was the head..and it was
really hope its fixed but get saving just incase later on it gets worse!
