Bongo Fury

Have had quite a few suggested replacement types of battery from internet suppliers, but all of them with the wrong layout.
can anyone help identify the correct one for a 1987 turbo diesel 2.5, the battery positive is on the far left hand side as you look into the engine bay, the battery has failed after standing for a week and has to be run daily to raise and keep a charge so some help would be really nice folks. cheers.

If ordering the battery via the internet, make sure it's one with the positive terminal on the right, as per the battery in that link, as the battery is fitted round the other way in the Bongo

1987 - Is it a Friendee, or have you got the year wrong

I have just fitted one of these batteries (no problems),the part number on the invoice is 444773357.

Customers Part: S40 28 £74.65

as asked your date implies its not a regular bongo

most sites give dimensions you can compare

Spot on Teenmal. The info on the website is wrong as they indicate you need one with the terminals the other way round. I've fitted that Bosch battery in a 1998 diesel and 2002 V6 and the fit is perfect. Buy one now while you can get 25% deal as their New Year offer can't continue for much longer.
