(great site for kids) especially big kids like diamomd, blobber and me. There is always a good mix of all ages at Bongo meets, some bods don't even have a Bongo any more but still come along to the meets in their new wheels.

Allithwaite is not your normal campsite. It is the village playing field in which a few electric hook ups have been fitted after a sucessfull trial meeting a few years ago when there were none. The toilets are inside the village hall and sometimes we even get to use the hall when it is available.

Pixe of Pixie and the Moon who lives locally does all the organising. You will find prices very reasonable compared with those in the Lake District which is only a few miles away and it is probablly the only place around this area where you can get on at short notice at peak periods; and then only when a meet is arranged.

Been there a few times myself but have got to sit this one out as we are having a visitor.

Hi Nik and welcome

There are 2 types of meets.....official ones organised by the Ian,chief Bongonaught. They are once a month and you have to be Bongofury club members to attend.
Then there are the local ones, usually organised by someone who just names a date and place in their area, (like a day meet) and we see what the response there is and take it from there. These are good fun,you will be made very welcome and can scrutinise everyones Bongos and nick their ideas :?.
You are welcome to turn up just for a day visit if you cant make the full weekend.
Allithwaite is a local meet and well worth getting to.and not too far from your area, link here.......

People usually meet up in a car park for a few hours somewhere. Stand around chatting mostly about Bongos and go to a caf if one is nearby.

Not had a day meet in the northwest for a while.,
You could always get a day meet set up,
Just find a local landmark like a nature reserve or a park. put up a date and let nature take its course.
O welcome on board the nut house. :)
