so what i want to know is, can i go over this panel with some wet and dry sandpaper and then relaquer it or am i getting a bit over confident
am currently saving the pennies to get simon to work his magic on another piece of the bodywork and feel that this could really done by me.

I can't actually see in teh photo. I'd forget about it and let the rest of the van slowly fade to match. Are you sure it's the laquer or is it the paint underneath?

if you look carefully (its very clear to me :x :x ) you can see that where the arrow points to is darker than the sides and i can see clearly where the stickers used to be. its driving me bonkers
think i might have to have a little go. if it goes wrong, i will just have to pay and get it resprayed it :D :D :D

I think you might get a reasonable result by masking along the crease line and respraying the bottom strip. Better using two pack lacquer and a spray gun if poss. Also soft masking is better, moving mask back a tad after each coat.
