:D Old CrAzY is heading North on August the 9th
popping into the Peak District for 2 nights then up
to Windermere for 3 nights, from there I'm heading
East through the Dales and onto the North Yorkshire Moors
for around 7 days. Now my question is .....can I take my 20ft
motorhome off the A684 road to Hawes and head up Bellow Hill,
Cliff Gate Road, Angram Lane and finally Stonesdale lane to get to
Tan Hill pub or should I approach from a more sensible route?
I'd like to see as much as possible of the Dales as I run through you see
see attached if it helps
 http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&tab=wl :-k

P.S would love to see anyone along the way deffo staying at
http://www.beechcroftfarm.co.uk/
http://www.parkcliffe.co.uk/ Then probably
http://www.coteghyll.com/ & finally http://www.ladycrossplantation.co.uk/ but the last 2 are not booked yet to leave me a bit of scope for maneuverability

I got Greater London coming up when I googled your Google Maps link.

If everyone else had a similar experience, that could explain the low response rate!

Works fine now and I've just enjoyed going over some old trips with the benefit of street view.

Now there's an idea for you. Check out the route following the Google camera car!

Hi Crazy,

Only just seen this. The south end of Stonesdale Lane is very steep and has a couple of hairpin bends, no sweat in a Bongo but you might struggle if your motorhome is front wheel drive. It's right at the bottom by Park House so you could do a recce on foot before you attempt it

You shouldn't have any trouble with Cliff Gate Road (Buttertubs Pass) and it is a great drive :D
