Ouch

.
There are 2 possibilities. If its bright green and oily then it's the air con gas that has escaped. If its blue/green/rusty and a bit smelly then it will be coolant in the rear heater matrix. The later is bad news as you will not be able to drive it until it has been repaired and fully bled. You can get a new replacement heater matrix, but it may be easier to get a complete unit from a breaker and replace the whole lot. Either way, I think you need to consider removing the entire conversion to get proper access to lift the unit out.

Hi Simon the liquid is colourless, and it will be no problem getting access the only bit in the way is the centre partition

That certainly looks like the unit Jay, now what can I do about it, its a small cut with a hacksaw blade so its only about 1mm wide by 30mm long can it be heat welded or glue with a special mix like fibre glass mix, if so would it need bleeding if so how do I do that Colin

looks like I've found my answer been looking at the fact sheets on the AC and even if it is repairable its got to be re pressurised and the right amount of coolant put in, plus in 2010 a different coolant is required, Ill give Mike at wheel quick a ring on Monday, see what he recommends, thanks for your help guys

Before you can have it re-gassed, the A/C people will pressure test it up to about 200 psi, so any repairs will have to be very thoroughly undertaken to ensure it doesn't leak. When I had mine drained and re-gassed the stuff that came out (and went back in) was a very bright green which I believe is done to make it easy to detect leaks.

Just wondering what this Bongobits V6 manual contains ..
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Master-Bongo- ... 3a7a57d849
Is it a just 'glove box' handbook .. engine only manual .. or a more comprehensive manual ..??

Hi Colin,
As a quick check..Does the AC fan and the AC compressor still work,if you have lost pressure they wont.

The repair to the plastic shell is the easy part.. you could just stick some "Gaffa tape" over the cut...?
Its the evaporator thing that may have been sliced that's the fiddle......
From what i remember from repairing my rear manual system (Same sort of principle & design.) you have the fan chamber far right, then the cooling AC chamber.. The bit that was unfortunately cut i think the evaporator sits directly parallel to the floor..? Then the heater matrix chamber.. The heater matrix is covered by a flap allowing the cold air to scoot past... When set for hot the flap is opened away from the heater matrix causing the air temperature to rise before hitting the outlet vents channelling chamber....
