Bongo Fury

Mornin Boys n Girls, i'm on the lookout for an electric camping heater but not a fan heater, something nice n quiet, with a thermostat that'll cut in and out silently so i can get a good nights sleep in l'oreal when the great british weather takes a turn for the worst, A dual wattage would be good as i want to be able to use it with both hookup and my 850w Generator for those wild camps, so really anything with a setting of wither 400-800-1200w should tick all my boxes.

Any recomendations ?

Thats a great bit of kit Derek and defo summat i'll invest in for me awning but i'm after summat more compact that i can stand on my end conversion and will click in and out while i'n sleeping on hookup or will preheat l'oreal before bed time via my lill generator. summat like this

That's what we do with ours stand it on the end of the conversion or on the central console, it stores under the R&R bed its only

Size H38, W25, D11cm.

I had a similar type of those halogen oscillating heaters in my tourer caravan when on hook up ..

Just my opinion .. I would not use one while sleeping as I think the elements could be a fire risk .. and they give out quite a bright light that would not induce a good nights sleep ..

Personally I would be more inclined to use an oil filled / black heat / tube type greenhouse heating in the confines of a Bongo ..

Dimplex do a 500w thermostatic nightwatch heater. The element is well shielded and the thermostat is good. We have used it a lot this year and left it on overnight many times. It is not large, neither is it cheap.....but IMO ideal for a bongo.

I have one of those,they come up from time to time in Aldi or Lidl, £12.00.
Superb in the Bongo,good heat,safe to leave on while your in the pub or whatever,and silent through the night.
Bongo,and you, is toasty all night.

Just don't leave the dog loose in the bongo when you're not there! Mine knocked it off the centre console onto the seat upside down and when I got back from the shower I had a burning smell. Luckily, inside the heater only - but it wouldn't work after that. And I left her in the bongo snug and warm in her bed! Next time, she's tied up outside, cold or not!

Guys just back from pound stretchers in Livingston,bought a Hyundai 800watt mini convector heater for our bongo was £25.00 reduced to £19.99 and have brought it home and plugged in to the conservatory appears it will do just nicely,min/max heat and thermostat auto control,just thought you guys may like to know three years guarantee

I saw those and thought they looked quite good.

Hi, picked one up today will do fine in the Bongo. I asked about warranty and was told 'keep the receipt'. Where does it mention 3 years guarantee
