National Bongo Day , Lincolnshire/East Midlands "NOW ON"
Hi All,
I have now had intrest from from 4 other members that are able to attend at Rutland Water. So I'm now declaring it as on for that day. As suggested by Ian I think that 1100 Hrs start would be good. I'm taking a trip out next weekend to visit location, and will locate a good point for the initail meeting place. If you know the area well & have suggestions, please let me know.
I would also like those who attend to give some thaought as to wether or not we should form a group for members in this catchment area as there does seem to be increasing numbers of members locally.
Cheers Richard.

Hi Richard I was there before Xmas and they were doing work on the whitwell side. Although there is plenty of car park and the cafe is usually open. Give me an approx time and day this weekend and I could have a drive out that way. We could always check out the south side as well. Any excuse to have a drive

Hi!
That's great .We have met before on the large car park at Whitwell. Cafe is usually open as is the bike hire shop. Parking is £1 per vehicle. Can we come along as well . Worth taking bikes if you feel you can cope with some wind and potential ?cold.

We'll be there. It's been our plan all along to get ours on the road in time for National Bongo Day. We're only ten miles from Rutland water too. Will keep you posted.

Hi,
Visited Rutland Water today dispite the snow. Cafe is very nice and I think the location will be well suited. Car park is good size and views of the resevoir are excelent from here. Car park charges are not unreasonable at £3 for the day, so make sure you bring change. The prices in the cafe are reasonable, but be warned if you use a debit or credit card there is a charge of £1 for purchases of under £10.
Cheers

Hi all,
Meet up in the Harbour Cafe car park for 11:00 ish. Group photo for Bongo Fury Forum. Have been sent stickers to hand out to all attendees & a card to be signed by all and returned to Ian.
I would like to get to know members thier intrests/hobbies and suggestions for future meeting locations. I can then work on arranging some future meets that would be of interest to a local group.
As this meeting has been a bit rushed, I've not had time to arrange any specific activities. So open to any suggestions.
For those who want to eat out rather than bring own food the cafe is good and reasonably priced.
Had thought about bringing a BBQ & doing some bacon or sausage butties etc, please give me some feedback if anyone thinks that would be good idea & fancies lending a hand.
Feed back please, as want the meet to go well for all who intend to come along.
Cheers
