Tempted to buy one of these very shortly. Have been checking out the details but cannot for the life of me see one particular thing thats bugging me stated anywhere.
So perhaps an owner can tell me, can I connect it to the Bongo using figure of 8 strips?
cheers!

I took the plunge and got one from the bongo fury shop reduced to 180 odd quite, last year's model but so what new model can cost 300' the weather has stopped me erecting it yet but there is good vid on YouTube. It is heavier than I imagined but will do me fine

We've got the old version of this awning (Venice) and you attach it using a pole and clamps rather than figure of 8. There are 3 poles that come with the awning: the shorter, fatter one goes through a sleeve at the top of the cowl that bridges the gap between awning and van. You then attach the sleeved pole to the gutter of your van using the small wing-nut clamps. I would recommend wrapping the ends of the clamps (the bits that touch the van) in gaffer tape or similar, as they can damage the paintwork otherwise.
HTH.

Watch the erection video on utube,i think they use figure of eight type attachment (same as caravan awning rail)

I did watch erection video but couldn't decide if the size of the slots were the same as mine. The bongo I mean. Figure of 8 slots obviously.
Hell, I'll just buy it!
