Bongoless

Gutted, My poor old Bongo hasn't a chance of passing an MOT, too rotten underneath. So for now I'm Bongoless after six years. I would break her for spares but do not have the space, might need to sell whole Bongo for spares or repair.

As for replacing her, there is one on Gumtree, in Aviemore. It's a 4wd manual like mine but it's an AFT. Short MOT though, and possible signs of rust on rear of arches? Price seems too good to be true.

Hope to be Bongoing again sometime soon.

Donald you can always flog one of your tribe to finance a replacement Bongo. #-o

Tony

PS: I would strip the good parts off your old bongo then tow it round to a breaker with your new Bongo. You can't throw away all those goodies I gave you. [-X

PSS: I am Bongoless too on my other half's orders. Put a deposite down on a 6 months old motorhome 2 days ago. :D

Sorry, no Idea. So open to offers.

MOT Expired on Saturday.

Taxed to 31/07/2013, but looking to SORN by the end of this week and claim some back, if not needed by new owner.

Runs well, No aircon - totally removed as not needed up here and had a leak anyway, removing it did make the Bongo run 10 deg or so cooler. Would like to keep Stainless exhaust, coolant alarm, high temp alarm unless a price is agreed. It's a
4WD, manual gear box, 4 Newish winter tyres on original alloys, or might refit the 4 newish summer tyres on seperate alloys. :-k

So Titan1995 or anyone else, if interested give us a shout asap.

Click on pictures below, not this one.

Cheers,
Donald.

Donald that's peanuts compared with Muz's Bongo. Get Muz to test drive it for you if he has the time, he should know just how sweet a high milage Bongo should run.

Our poorly "off the road" Bongo has 228k km's on it. We bought it 6 years ago with 75k km's on it.

We did not drive the Bongo as much this last year, as we have a wee car as a run around. So I'm not too worried about the mileage of the replacement. Just the eight seats with leg room and luggage space is needed now and again. A minibus would do the trick, but then I would miss out on the Bongo meets/camps. :(

Donald,

Stuc from Newcastle has a mate selling 8 seater tin top in good nick, less distance to travel to view, bet it has less mileage on it as well, might be worth a look you never know. Stuc is a forum member.

I met Stuc at a Gibraltar Farm (South Lakes) Bongo meet a few years back. He is time trained in car body repairs athough he does something else now. If he says the bodywork is in good nick then it will be.

Hi Donald, did you get an estimate for the undercarriage repairs, sometimes its not as bad as it looks, might be worth a repair if the rest of the vehicle is OK.

Cheers.
