Tough Northerners Take 2
Back in March the first Tough Northerners meeting took place in Clitheroe. Unfortunately lots of people could not make it because of the blizzard conditions, so we are making another attempt over the weekend of 11 October. This is a member's only event and you can find booking details here:
http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/member ... .htm#take2
If you were unable to attend the original event and you informed us (or the site) in advance you will be entitled to a free weekend. We will email you if this is the case.
If you failed to attend the original event but did not let us know at the time you will receive 1 x free nights camping. We will email you about this.
Booking commences Thursday 8 August at 0930.

Re: Tough Northerners Take 2
What if you attended but went home early, not because it was cold (we're tough northerners after all) but before they noticed I'd set one of the wheelie-bins on fire with my unextinguished barbecue - I would have extinguished the barbecue and I would have extinguished the wheelie-bin fire, m'Lud, but the water was all frozen on the site
Re: Tough Northerners Take 2
A quick note to tell you that all pitches for this meeting will be on hard standing (gravel).

Re: Tough Northerners Take 2
That's every day all year around.I only own one pair of dreaded trousers and they are part of the funeral suit.Which alas at seventy two I seem to be attending a lot of,thankfully not my own.My Vanco Contact 2s got me home on the A6 when it was closed at Chapel and full of abandoned cars, and I was towing the Eriba at that.Tough Northerners Laugh at such weather.Cheers Michael

Re: Tough Northerners Take 2
I have to agree there that the Continental Vanco Contact 2 are brilliant in snow & ice. Not as good life in them as some others but you pays your money etc
Re: Tough Northerners Take 2
Who's going I am thinking of booking if there are any pitches left. Don't need hook up.
Do what you like.Like what you do.
Re: Tough Northerners Take 2
I'm going! There's about 10 pitches left, but I need to let site know the numbers within 2 weeks.

Following a bit of pressure from Brian, Christine and Pixe. They have managed to persuade June to let me attend this meet in my Winbango after all. Any chance that the campsite may be able to squeeze me in somewhere. Now who do I phone.

Tony, I will phone the site on your behalf tomorrow. It should not be a problem, last time I checked there were still pitches available. Pay me on arrival. Assume everything is OK unless you hear different.
