My V6 is a bit flat going up hill but fine on the flat. When I had it converted to LPG the installer said the Lambda sensor wasn't working. Do you think the two are connected? If so where can I get the sensor? and will it need programming when its fitted? I get about 20mpg on gas and 24 mpg on petrol.

thanks in advance

Those mpg numbers sound about right.

Check every ignition lead consent rating on the thicker parts that go over the spark plugs.....look for any cracking....your ignition system needs to be 100% for the LPG to run smooth....

My V6 is LPG ..

I have recently put in new plugs .. a dizzy cap .. rotor and leads on my V6 and the change is remarkable ..

Walsall is in a 'dip' .. the only way out is up an hill .. !!

I have found the V6 engine is not a really a 'slogger' ... rather than just giving it more throttle I tend use the hold button to knock the 'overdrive' off as needed to keep the engine spinning freely ..

If you use "search" .. http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/search.php .. There have been a few posts on Lambda sensor problems .. some guys have used eBay 'pattern parts' with good results ..

We have genuine (expensive!) Mazda ones here at the Bongo Shop, in the "Miscellaneous" section.

on v6 lpg they are not the best at getting up hills. i noticed a drop off. you mpg sounds right i get 25-27 on petrol and 22-23 on lpg. fine on flat or down hill but lacks a bit but it is a full side convertion with load.

they are not the best tuned engine

OK yesterday I unpugged the sensor took it off to read the numbers on it then put it back and plugged it back in.

And ... :D a sudden and definate improvement in acceleration and much keener to rev when asked to. So either a poor connection or taking it out and putting it back has improved the connection. Either way musn't grumble!! :D
