Allithwaite September meet 27th - 29th

Post by PixieAndTheMoon » Tue Aug 27, 2013 11:38 pm

Hi Friends,

Again due to popular request’s we have decided to have another mini meet at the end of September 26th (for those that are able to come) 27th and 28th.

It will fit in nicely with the Clitheroe Meet in October which we hope to attend. I must remember to ring up tomorrow.

There is a Jazz trio playing at the community centre that weekend on the 28th I think, Heather is going to give me further details, times and ticket prices. I am quite up for a bit of jazz myself.

Five hook ups have so far been requested –

Hi Jo, can I just make one stipulation for this meet, and that is that the grass is cut shorter, do you have the power to ensure this? Myself, David and even little Pips are covered in bites and I know you are yourself. :(

I hope more people can make it next time, even tho. we had a good time without them

Thanks for organising this Jo and Chris. 8)

If you are short of midgies at Allithwaite , want me to bring a few down from Scotland for you.

Tony

PS: Still hope to be at the meet, with or without June. I need a master class from Jo to find out how half the thingies on my new wheels work. Being practically illiterate the instruction manual that came with it has got me beat :( What worries me is that your new Bongo is not going to be much good at doing a Matt and towing my Burstner out of the mud Brian. Yours new one is a petrol one I understand. argh!

Hi Friend's

As Brian pointed out to me should have read 27,28,29 (Fri to Sun) I was probably looking at another month or year doh!

I don't think short grass voids us of the biters, I think it is because it has been a warmer year over all. Tony yer can keep your midges in Scotland thank you very much

No worries about towing our 4WD Pinin with a chain is the way forward as we have found lol

June has managed to get the last place at the usual cattery for her cat Gem. So I am definitely going to be there, with June for a change. Just hope that we get some decent weather as June hates the cold.

Don't need any more bites from the wee midgies Tony thanks mate. I counted over 20 bites on my extremeties, even Pips have them on his paws and head and cutting the grass very short will help as they like the moisture in the grass, which is 1st thing in the morning and in the evening. Just saying!

Hi Friends,

The Jazz band on at the community centre on 28th September is

The Hot Fingers Trio with Emily on vocals

It is on from 7 to 10.30pm (with a bar) for the cost of £13.00 which includes a light supper (I do not know what that consists of).

7 to 8pm: Light supper & chat
8 to 10.30pm Hot Fingers and Emily (interval 9 to 9.30 pm)

Tickets available on the door if anyone is interested, they actually sound quite good.
