Three radiators at the front???

I was doing some work at the front of the van and realised that there are three radiators under there....the front one is presumably the air-con, then comes the water radiator, and then a smaller one at the bottom (behind the other two) with its own air scoop - is this associated with the auto gearbox?

It's the inter cooler.2-5tdi

You may also find a 4th one if you have a transmission oil cooler as well.

The auto gearbox cooler is built into the bottom of the engines radiator...

Ahh yes - I knew it was there somewhere, with an extra pair of hoses.

Can't see anything sarky - just a harmless notation that suggested he knew because of the two hoses.

cheers - some times assumptions work out but asking questions will always helpful and avoid uncertainties or assumption - the moral of the story being if in doubt ask
