Lambda sensor data

Hi I have a V6 Petrol, I have just checked the voltage at the Lambda sensor - does anyone know if this sounds about right;
Tick over 0.35 volts
Accelerating 0.68
back to tick over - Drops back to 0.35 but takes about 60 seconds to get back down.
I had a problem with a poor connection at the plug but this seems to be OK now.
I'd like to get a few more mpg (wouldn't we all) and don't know where else to look I've fitted new leads and plugs.
its about 19 mpg on LPG gas and a bit more on petrol but I nearly alway run on gas.
Some people quote higher figures but I don't know if they are being optimistic
I drive 17 miles to and from work with a light right foot in rural bedfordshire and don't get stuck in traffic.
Perhaps I'm not being realistic looking for better than 20 mpg but it would be good!
Oh I forgot it has a side conversion so isn't travelling light.
