Little green men

Post by Rogerrust » Fri Sep 27, 2013 7:11 am

Er I meant Little green light!

What is the little green light about? It's in the cupholder at the front and comes on with the lights. I really cant think why it was fitted or what useful function it performs.

I think bongos were fitted with an ashtray originally and often a cup holder was added later mostly by uk owners after import so I guess the light is to illuminate the original ashtray at night :?:

Presumably there simply to illuminate the cupholder for the driver.

Probably right. Was in Japan once, and while they are fanatically clean and tidy, they smoked like troopers.

The earlier Bongo centre console had a light to illuminate the ashtray on the right, while later ones have it by the can / ashtray compartment on the left.
