Bongo not starting again changed and charged battery. Changed glow plugs.
Turning over no problem but not firing up. Stinky white smoke out the exhaust.
This happened before but righted itself.
What next ?

glow plug relay? I assume you checked to make sure glow plugs heated up whilst you had the rail out?

Had a similar problem myself not so long ago! Not so sure about white smoke though!

White smoke is usually indication of unburnt diesel, as mentioned, check theres power to the glow plugs, then crack off a fuel feed pipe and make sure you have fuel at the injectors and come back with results. its not uncommon to blow the fusable link by the battery whilst swapping out plugs

and whilst your at it, check interior fuse box, middle row far left (15A)! as losing that will wipe out lots of essential circuits

Is it ok , advisable, to use Quick start spray ?

I was always told not to use it because it would remove carbon from the top of the cylinders which helped with compression.

Things may have moved on since then.

Good luck, Baz.

You could try it (short term!), would give you an indication if the issue is fuel related! if it starts with easy start then it might indicate that vehicle isnt fuelling correctly

Got 12.70 at battery but can't get a reading at glow plug rail so its looking like plug relay, any way to test this?
I've decided against quick start for now. But had to come inside, blooming cold out there and traffic getting a bit busy to be bent over the motor.

follow the positive terminal and just behind the battery is a black fabric tube, inside this is a fusible link which blows if the rail shorts, check there first, before looking at the relay! alternative test is to (carefully) using a jump lead connect to the positive of the battery, touch and hold it to the glow plug rail for 10 seconds then crank and see if she starts
