Bongo Fury

Mad as a March Hare Meet - Golden Swan, Wilcot near Pewsey – Friday 14 – Sunday 16 March 2014

Following tradition and on behalf of Crazy Uncle Gray, I have booked all 4 EHUs for the weekend of Friday 14 March 2014 for two nights (leaving Sunday) for the “bongo meet” (not restricted to bongos). Dave has advised that he can only accommodate a total of 10 vans (unlimited tents beyond that). The cost will be £10.00 per night per van or £5.00 per person. Bring splitters for the EHU and provided we’re not silly with it, will be able to keep 8 units warm of a night.

Brilliant real ale and fantastic food. Close to Pewsey with its many pubs, the canal, The Barge Inn (famous for aliens). Dogs welcome on leads, including inside the pub. Tap, toilets and washroom (containing a shower) available. Please note there is no chemical toilet emptying facilities available.

The pub has 3 letting rooms available inside: 2 twin rooms and double (family) room. £50.00 based on 2 people sharing, including full English breakfast. Note there are shower and toilet facilities for guests, but these are not en suite. There is a sink in each of the rooms as well as a kettle and refreshments. Dogs are not allowed in the letting rooms.
I can bring my firepit and hopefully Bob & Su will bring Edris (ozpig). Please bring logs or ready-cut wood to burn. Can Paul bring the event shelter?

Can you book me electric on a splity please. After the disaster two years ago when my leisure battery failed totally over the winter and I had no power at all for the whole weekend, I am not taking any chances.

Think we can make this Jillie, but would arrive on the Sat..us 2, bongo, drive-away awning and Martha (lab). EHU would be nice, just for running our little radiator, but not essential.

Happy to accept more names but note that if all the above turn up, Dave may turn you away unless you are in a tent! Of course, it's quite likely that someone will pull out. Please keep me posted so that people are not disappointed. Day visitors also welcome but we'll probably be in a pub somewhere!
