180mph dials vs 110mph dials

Post by khisanth » Tue Feb 25, 2014 6:09 pm

I have seen some nice plasma dials from http://www.visual-performance.co.uk/

however they dont seem to sell 180mph for a diesel automatic.

Would i be better off removing the speedo convertor and dropping a 110mph on there or does anyone know some nice looking dials that would fit ( i dont like dials that have company names on seen some of these)

below is my dials

any help be great

Dont understand why you would want dials that read up 180mph, the bongo is really not safe at any speed over 70mph.

Truefully i dont i dont even do over 70mph in my new company astra.

The bongo came with these on and if there was a way to get the lower ones on or even gaueges etx that went to 90 would do me

I have the 110 mph set with the auto select panel as well in my diesel from visual performance when the speedo chip started to play up and it was removed ... gave me an excuse to get these - the drawback then is the mileage goes back to KM. They were fitted by the local Bongo garage (Ian Taylor) and they are a huge improvement in the dashboard lighting at night as well.

I don't recall, but if you ever manage to get over 100mph, you'll be too busy keeping your bum clenched to worry about checking the speedo :)

It's 140 mph and you can clearly see the part number:

Like Simon said email people breaking a 626 ect but ask them if it has GA5R printed on the face then just swap it over and get your plasma dials and fit it straight over the top

I think of that scenario every time I hear the radio advert jingle:

♫ Let me tell you 'baht an accident I 'ad ♫

I automatically sing along with my own next line:

♫ 'Ad to change me underpants ♫

You can twiddle the dials around gently with a small screwdriver by wedging it between the 1 and 5 and very carefully twisting the handle to rotate the 1 back to zero.
