spraying mirrors

Hi
Has anyone here resprayed their mirrors?
if so did you undercoat them first or just spray them.

I imagine that you'd need to sand and de grease them, then prime them with plastic primer, before applying the paint and lacquer.

Depends if they are painted already, if so just sand down P800 wet or dry or p500 dry free cut paper and red scotchbrite. Only need priming if you sand through the original paint.
If they are bare plastic, rub with red scotchbrite, thorougly clean, apply plastic adhesion primer, then prime with either wet on wet primer and then paint or some high build primer, dry, then sand with P800 wet or dry or P500 dry free cut paper. Clean again then apply paint of your choice.

Sound advice, but alI I did was wet n dry the bare plastic and 2 pack them, only done 12 months ago but no problems. It was done as an afterthought while doing some repair work.
