mae i enquire as to whether the sands hostelry has permanantly lowered its shutters yet,i need to plan ahead in order to feed the elfchild.

The pub formally know as the guide over sands is still open. Still a welcoming place but a bit of skull duggery going on. The owner wanted to turn it into housing and flats however the LC don't like this suggestion which I find strange as not one of them frequent it.

It has a new chef, nice lad I met him last Saturday.

Noticed the planning application pinned up near the pub last time we were up in Allithwaite and as I'd just been chatting with the owner about how quiet it was over winter, then I did wonder if it would be open for long!.

There is always skullduggery in darkest deepest cumbria.I see the priory is closed for behind closed doors worship of the fat jolly one,(which means i might have to come back in august ) but the pub being open will save the elfchild of his grannys abysmyl cooking for at least one meal.
