Reverse inner roof

I know this has been asked before but I can't find all the answers I am looking for in previous threads. We are trying to reverse the inner roof so that the hatch is at the kids' feet. People keep referring to a step by step guide that someone has written but I can't find it, only wee snippets from various people and some photos. We're struggling with everything! - properly disconnecting the light (we've got a nice live plug for the kids to play with just now), removing the gas struts, removing the hinges. Everyone else makes it sound so easy! Help!!
