Volt meters

I thought I would make a couple of voltmeters to keep an eye on LB and SB when camping and got stuff running like coolbox, dvd etc, bought the meters off ebay for 99p each and bought a box to put them in from Maplins about £3 I think. Fitted it today and quite pleased with the result. Could be a bit neater but it's not too bad.

Been wondering about volt meters like these?
Do you connect across the battery, or just connect to one of the fuses that is on when ignition on?
Across the battery would be always on, so I am assuming a fuse jumper.
but then again.. the leisure battery is always on? How do you stop that from always reading the voltage when van is parked/you are sleeping?

I used to have something similar and just had a switch to disconnect the common negative connection.

I have picked up a fused ignition live off the parking sensors and the Lb picked from the fused side of the kit that is connected to the LB. I have left that on all the time as I want it to monitor the LB when parked up. I might fit a switch but I quite like it lit up in the dark.
The blue side is the LB as it is on that side of the car.

Looks good, post an Ebay link to the person you bought them from please.
I have toyed with swapping mine for these smaller ones.
Heres mine
