Insurance for longer trips around Europe

We are in process of deciding on and buying a Bongo (so many choices......).

Whilst we will have a base in the UK we will mainly be using it to travel around Europe for a few months at a time, most insurance policies only seem to allow 30 to 90 days out of the country in one go. Any options and recommendations for longer trips?
