Loud whistle and over heating V6

Hi all
Yesterday took the bongo (V6 petrol 2012) to the garage as it was leaking coolant.
Turns out it was a hose that they have fixed (or so I thought)
However, driving it home the temp gauge reached high and a loud whistle was heard on the passenger side. I also noticed the hose has a slow drip
Any ideas what the problem could be please?
Its going back to the garage tomorrow but would like an idea of what may be wrong.
Thanks
Adam

Is this a Bongo Savvy garage?
Sounds like it may not have been bled properly after fitting new hose which will have caused big problems.
Fingers crossed.

Can't think of anything that would make a whistling sound. I'd be wary of driving it any distance to the garage with a leaky pipe as it will only make the problem worse especially if it's drawn air in there now. Might be better for the garage to arrange recovery.
Have you got a low coolant alarm? If not, they are well worth the money.

Download the coolant system bleeding instructions and ask the garage if they did what the instructions suggest or look at the YouTube videos. If the garage have not done this procedure I fear serious damage will have been done.
Ask the garage if they know where the bleed tube is.....if they don't know then they haven't bleed it ( unless they have a vacuum system)
This happens so often with uninformed garages.
I suppose the whistling sound could have been the tank cap letting off pressure

Hi,
Was sound a whistle or perhaps a squeal? It could be possible that the coolant leak has contaminated one of the drive belts causing it to slip. This could then be causing the belt to slip and hence squeal.
Cheers
