Re: who will insure me
If its fully converted (& ideally registered as a motor caravan) then you should get a good quote from Camping and Caravanning Club. You don't have to be a member but if you join you'll probably get a lower premium. We pay about £230 fully comp based on 5000 miles/year.

Re: who will insure me
Make sure it's the Camping and Caravanning Club rather than the Caravan Club (they're a bit more snooty and I've no idea if they if even insure Bongos).

I just bought one and I went with Lifesure via bongofury. IIRC £270 per year fully comp.

They are only 20 miles down the A1 if you ever need to speak to a real person face to face.
The phones are answered by somebody actually in St Neots and all lines are proper landlines with a number that starts 01480......

Re: who will insure me
I thought he lifesure phone service was excellent. A single call to someone who knew who he was talking about, know bongos and provided a good deal. I was even able to email scans of my NCD and driving license
Re: who will insure me
I pay £200 with Adrian Flux, its limited miles as its not my daily vehicle
Re: who will insure me
I'm also with Adrian Flux, £270 with extra cover for driving other people's car fully comp. AND it's an 8 seater MPV.
No one has ever come close for me. Again you speak to a real person. They don't bat an eyelid at mods, either, if you have solar panels, alloys etc.

Are you sure it's fully comp? 3rd Party only is usual.roosmith wrote:I'm also with Adrian Flux, £270 with extra cover for driving other people's car fully comp. AND it's an 8 seater MPV.

Thanks for the concern Scanner That's why it costs extra - for an extra £40 you upgrade from 3rd party, which is included anyway, to fully comp.scanner wrote:Are you sure it's fully comp? 3rd Party only is usual.roosmith wrote:I'm also with Adrian Flux, £270 with extra cover for driving other people's car fully comp. Never heard of or ever been offered that by anybody.
And I've used LOTS of insurers.
Re: who will insure me
That's why I have used Flux and Pete Best for years, they easily tailor the insurance to suit you
When I had my radically modified off roaders they insured them easily and cheaply
