hi all could the very kind people here give me some help with my leaking diesel pump

the info iam after is the dome shaped plate under the throttle assembly on the side of the pump that is held on by 2 bolts. if this is removed will anything fall out of the pump ??

has anyone removed this before.

there is a flat plate on the oppisite side on the pump i do not now witch is leaking so need to change both seals to be safe i now that this one can be removed with out anything falling out of the pump

hi just noticed your post probally too late but yes you can undo the 2 10m bolts and nothing falls out replace o ring and leak stops ? but its always the one behind pump ? undo all 4 injector pipes from pump lay them out in order .hand behind pump and same as front put in new o ring you will find it easy with a small dentist mirror fiddley job but will save you £200

thanks for that done the one closes to the engine still to do the front as i did not know if anything would fall out of it thanks again

just noticed a tiny drip on mine

from this dome and by smell its diesel

were would you get these seals from

do you have part numbers etc

hi you can use o rings, take the front out and match it

antique - I'm an ignoramus. Where (what kind of shop) do you buy suitable O rings for this kind of job. Presume you mean go into the O ring shop with old one(s) having taken them out, and look for exact match?

If I develop a leak, I go to Halfords, get an O ring and slip it into place (oooh matron!)

dont no any straight people ?
