Armrest mod

Post by Michael1308 » Wed Dec 31, 2014 5:12 pm

Hi Guy's. Just thought I'd share what I've been up to in my Freda. All the materials I used were from the conversion when I brought it but I've changed it a bit and now modified the centre console.

Very smart and a handy little table. Do you find it a bit high to rest your arm on or are you very tall :)?

Haha I'm over 6' and it feels just right to me. It feels the same level as when i rest my arm on the door card the other side so it's quite equal like a really wide arm chair.
My wife hasn't tried it yet so that'll be the real test!

No I'm afraid not Helen. They're removable covers. very handy to have leather. Especially with the dirty dog paws after a nice walk. I can check the make on the label if you want to have a look for them?

Hi Michael
Errr...Just curious if you imported them 8) ...I have a set in mine, which I imported from Japan :

I got let down by a trimmer, as I was going to buy a set of seats in the UK, have them re-covered and ship them out here, but then I found these...pretty pricey, as they are only made to order now, but I think they were well worth the money!....plus , I can re-stuff the seats if they sag...and as you say, much cleaner with dogs!
Cheers

I agree Helen. Best I've seen. Someone on bf was asking after some recently - they'd love to know where to get those I'll bet

Better fit a seat belt to that centre console

Hi Mike...
See my picture above     ...I got them from Japan. They've stopped making them, and they're only available on a "made to order" basis...

I did think about a seat belt for her to sit there but she settles in the back when we're moving. The dog's well behaved too
