Popaloo-Portable Camping Toilet

Post by the1andonly » Fri Jan 02, 2015 3:06 pm

Has any one used a portable type toilet that uses plastic bags (with additional gelling chemicals and the like)
are these bags a one shot use or suitable for a day for example
This example doesn't appear to have a lid

http://www.popaloo.co.uk/profile/popalo ... ng-toilet/

but appears to be strong and compact but not cheap and the bags certaintly are not.

I all ready have 2 standard porta potis large and tiny but looking for compact permament device for the bongo.

ps not looking for toilet humour, but some expected

For an emergency toilet - apart from the obvious shovel that any seasoned wild-camper should carry - try these.... :?

Image
Note larger capacity and more secure, I'm guessing they had problems with spillages in the past

Image
The lousy barstewards - for one person's use - I thought sharing was caring :?

Image
Hmmm, splash-proof

All with NATO stock numbers too - and not for ingestion - you don't say!

This look really neat and compact, but as you say, pricey.

We just keep a Portapotti in Bongy, but its just the two of us so space isn't really an issue, and of course it weighs nothing so will sit on top of stuff if needed.

By crikey we've been grateful for it a few times.

Quality DisposaJohn promo quotes:

"Ideal for any person/family using out current motorway system with numerous road closures also flooded areas with a temporary lack of sanitation."

"Ideal to for indoors use Video game console users have you ever been in an online tournament could not take the time out to logout. now you can "logout" while you are "logged in"

It does not fold down but this has "Done us proud" when you need to curl one out. Just save a few paper bags from Primark or Holland and Barrett and you have a biodegradable solution. (Even old newspapers.)

I'm rather partial to the phrase 'Downloading at the ceramic interface'.

I'm glad this thread has given some people o potunity to relieve themselves of some old/new favourites.
but not many real experiences offered just info dumped on us.
didnt mean it that way muz just playing with words
obviously the placky bag is not a favourite with bongo people
