Alternative easier way so you don't have to split the lights, I've took the lights out and fitted the led strips on top of the headlamp panels so they shine up into the light. Just stick the strips on and wire it in. I took an ignition live from the internal fusebox and earthed each one to the headlamp bolts into the front panel.

Not sure Mike but for £2.99 or whatever I paid I'm willing to give them a go. I will report if they go off.

My only thought is they need to be easy to access and replace if they do go awol especially as failing leds tend to flicker irritatingly I have found.

Link to the led's these have black background but they also come with white background.

These are the bad boys to go inside the lights next time I need some. White but flash orange when indicating like the new stuff. Replace the regular indicator bulbs with white bulbs and fit these.

They say the reason the LED lights are not lasting as expected
Is because of over voltage 14v from alt etc

Wire one of these regulator things before the LEDs

They come in differents sizes
Gas safe heating engineer / plumber if you need any advice just shout.
