That's a pity Trish, we've had a couple of years like that, you could always bring them over for a picnic! Did that with my mum and dad one year and my dad ended up riding my son's mountain bike....

We'll probably be there on the saturday, might not overnight as the roof is busted at the moment ( Ian Taylor is fully booked) we live close by so may pop in on the Friday. Who's there on Sunday?

How easy is the cycling / how solid and even are the trails?. Trish has bought a bike so she can have a go after years of not cycling. My only bike is the trusty old electric bike (although I could try my son's old one if it's not too small).

Mike, there's a right old mix of trails up there and range from walking footpaths to the infamous follow the dog red route. You should find something safe and easy to ride on, used to take the kids up there and my daughter prefers level safe surfaces. Don't think there's anything tarmac'd though

we'll be staying at a ccc site near the national memorial from Friday to sunday, we hope to call in and say hello on Saturday. looks like great dog walking country I'm sure the springers will love it.
