Pull out awning without poles

I've seen a pull out awning for sale which has come off a bongo. It fits to the gutter rail with 2 brackets.

The only strange thing is that it has no poles. I've not seen one like this before. Are they any good?

The seller says it will work without poles but recommends that some poles are made up to hold up the front edge.

Any thoughts?

I decided I couldn't find enough about it so have passed on this one.

It can be seen here...

But only 5 mins left.

Still interested to hear thoughts about a pull out awning without poles.

Sold for £40 seems quite a bargain if it is any good.

It is worth £40 just for the brackets alone as it will be a far better fit that the Fiamma VW brackets. I've got similar brackets which came from Japan:

I would worry about having all that unsupported weight as well as it lifting up if the weather got a bit lively.
