Eastnor - Friday 18 - Sunday 20 September anyone

I cannot book the usual weekend for the Eastnor meet (last weekend in September) because I've decided to go to a festival that weekend (how selfish I hear you say!).

Would anyone be interested in joining me the weekend before instead?

For those not in the know, the Eastnor meet means minimal facilities (tap & tank), fantastic views and wildlife (Castle and deer) and excellent company around a firepit at Eastnor Castle Deer Park, near Ledbury.

http://eastnorcastle.com/deer-park-campsite/.

Excellent walking and discounted entry to the Castle. Ledbury is 2.6 miles away by road.

I haven't contacted the Castle yet but thought I'd see how many many be interested first. Reply to this post in the first instance please.

Ooooh - provided I can tempt Trish to come away camping on the cooler September evenings, this sounds right up our street. Count us as provisional please Jilly (Lexi the terrier did her first Bongo camp last weekend, in Allithwaite, and was very good so hopefully she'll become seasoned with practice).

Mike and Trish xx

She does.

Died and was cremated in Canada and they're bringing the ashes back for internment in the family grave.

This will involve the family from Bristol area, too, and instinct says I'm supposed to attend, plus we have 3 staying with us.

Don't worry, Mike.

Good old age and she hadn't been in good health for some while.

Still upsetting for everyone but on we go.

Don't worry Gents, and thanks for condolences.

I'm the first one taking the ****

As I say, it was a little while ago, and Beryl reached a good age. Due to poor health it was a release.

Still not going to make Eastnor, one of our favourites. :(

Hi
we were at Eastnor castle a few weeks ago for a steam rally, the castle has to one of the most dog friendly places in the UK ,you can even take the dog into the castle. Upton is very nice , you can take a trip on the river from there aswell ,we stayed on Blackmore site near Malvern , not into this wild campin gotta have leccy & Loos !!.

One of these days I will make this one but not this time as I will be at Santa Pod for the weekend. Sounds like a lovely venue.
