Red Squirrel campsite, 18th 19th September

If you are going away somewhere and don't mind meeting up with other Bongo owners or if you've been somewhere & want to tell us about it & stick up your photos, put the details here.

Post by mountainmummy » Wed Jul 29, 2015 8:19 am

Hi

It's been a long time since we had a red squirrel meet :-({|=

I've organised a meet via the Facebook sites for 18 and 19 September. Anyone on here fancy joining us? Maybe by then there might even be some dry weather (

hi,
been to red squirrel a couple of times, lovely scenery and a good pub within walking distance, but the big drawback is no EHU.

Just bumping this up.

On the Facebook site we have 9 going to this and 7 maybes. Would be great to see some Bongo Fury Scottish faces again.

We chose the red squirrel as you don't need to book, so there's no problem with last minute drop outs or drop ins.

Sara. :D

Love to come Sara, its been a while since I was at red Squirrel. But I am a bit nervous now that I no longer have a Bongo. Have you seen any 2WD 6m long motorhomes at Red Squirrel lately. Don't want to get Bogged down like I did at Gairloch first time out in it. If Matt is going to be around to tow me out again like he did at Gairloch that might help me to decide.

Blimey. Looks like I will have to park up with the juggernauts rather than with you lot.

Just bumping this up the forum.

10 or 11 vans coming from the Facebook page and a few from here hopefully.

Said I'd give the site a ring with rough numbers so if anyone else is interested let me know.

Me too. Probably meet up with Mulshy at Bridge of Orchy hotel carpark so that he can assist with parking up my megabus when we get to Red Squirrel. Just me this time as June found it tough at Lossiemouth when the damaged tailbone of her spine started to play up again.

Good stuff Tony.

I think Matt, Zoe and all are hoping to come for the Saturday. Hope they make it, want to see the newest Bongonaut.

We'll be down Friday evening. Had thought about hiking up the Pap of Glencoe on Saturday but a bit of foraging sounds good.
