camping in Whitby
I'm thinking about going to Musicport in Whitby this weekend - is there any where it is possible to just park up and sleep overnight? Nothing more than that.

Depends how near to Whitby you want to be. There are a couple of cracking wild-camping carparks overlooking Whitby, 54.440136, -0.664509 on Goggle Maps

I was just wanting to overnight really - in the end I just parked up in a side street, returned to the Bongo at 1am and went sleep and was up and away at 8am so no harm done I think.
There is a brand new park and ride on the edge of Whitby and I stopped there and asked the nice man if I could use their loos which he was happy about, so had a freshen up there in their very swish facilities.
Just out of interest - what is the law on sleeping in a vehicle?
