Ah yes (sighs). For Bob and You and a dog called MeToo, it should bring back old memories:

Hi
Ah, yes...I remember that song well...I must admit to re-visiting some old favourites lately....just can't stop playing Squeeze at the moment!
Cheers

Saw them twice c1969, Albert Hall. Excellent :-) Terry Reid was supporting them. He went on to be offered lead vocalist job in Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple, before Plant and Gillan respectively got the job. He turned the offers down because his manager, Mickie Most (of Hi Ho Silver Lining / Jeff Beck mismanagement fame) said he had bigger plans for him. The rest, as they say, is history   #-o 8)

And I thought you were a rock and roll animal Bob #-o

I did see Al Stewart many years back in a remarkably small setting where he sat on a chair playing just an acoustic guitar, with us all sat around him on chairs. It was a bit unreal, though interesting to get so close up. He wasn't that widely known then, although I think Year of the Cat had not long been released.

Personally, I love this guy and his band:

Donovan came on stage bare footed and sits on a cushion
That's the full stage set
Mrs and the gels met him outside as he got out of a city cab ( with shoes on )
Had a chat and was a nice bloke
We saw him at glasto last year he likes to chat on stage as well
Good show
Have fun
Did you know his daughters x 2 were married to happy Monday's Shaun rider and his brother
Donovan and the Mondays partying together would be my sort of party
