Roof tent

Hi all,
After 6 months of Bongo ownership our lovely lady is going in for a respray, getting new back seats fitted and we are looking at putting on some alloys. One thing we were also considering was changing the roof tent as it has that musty mildew look currently.
Any suggestions as to where to source one?

I agree- try restoring before replacing.

Thanks for the advice. Will give it a go first as it will save a lot of money. Think I was getting carried away with the respray!!!

watch out for chlorine fumes when using Dettol Mould remover. Not good for you so either hold you breath and nip in and out and/or open zip on tent too get good ventilation. Wash down tenting with water after using the product to ensure you dilute/neutralise it once done as its a bleaching agent and will degrade tent material. Don't get too alarmed though. I used it on mine 8 years ago and its been fine thereafter. I ought to have another session as a little bit of mildew has come back. Overall though, putting silica gel bags in the roof over winter months (and re-drying them every few weeks) seems to have prevented recurrence. Clove oil is said to stop recurrence also.

Thanks. Once I get it back from the garage I will give it a go with cleaning products and then hopefully let it air out a bit.
