Unknown device on Bongo

Stuck on my recently acquired Bongo's windscreen behind the mirror is a little box with a card slot in it and an orange light. My best guess is a toll charger for Japanese use. I was wondering if I remove it could I use the cable for a clock?
Please point me in the right direction if this has been dealt with before. Cheers me dears

Very likely a Toll booth device. Its usually quicker to re-wire than tracing the cable back to be honest!
You have a Blue/Red wire feeding a permanent supply to the overhead lights in the cab area and a Black for Chassis, so just add a pair of wires to the light plug in the head lining and drop it out behind the rear mirror. I have stuck a 5 volt supply up in the cavity and use it to run the Satnav with the cable just dropping down to the holder mounted below the mirror.
