Looks like this is going to be a great weekend. Wish I was turning up but Bongo is rigged as a builders van at the moment and is full of planks of wood.

Given the crap weather earlier in the week, things were not rearranged in time. So I will just have to regret this one.

Two Bongo Relays completed and a third now on its final leg, pretty impressive. :D

Thanks for your relay, Caz, organising was just a couple of phone calls to Dave and Pat.

Agree it was a nice 'Overlap' with Wild Campers, we do it for the same reasons and get on well. 8)

Really wanted to call in even if not in Bongo. Great weather and not quite as cold as last year (maybe?) but I had to take advantage of that good weather because my Bongo is undergoing surgery. Fingers crossed that all will be well by the time the Glasto meet comes around ....

Would have been good to see you Chris, but I can see you want your surgery finished, looks quite a job.

Weather indeed splendid, Barge at Honey Street closed, though. :(

Really? Forever, or just a temporary thing?

Yes, really.

We're told it closed in January and is due to reopen next month but the owner is making 'Some Changes' and word is they don't have a new landlord yet.

Pub looks in good shape and is not boarded up but definitely closed for business.

Agree with that. :(

Stupid part is while we sat for a rest after walking down there, had a cheese roll, cup of tea and rendered a humanitarian service, loads of people turned up and had to go on their way.

I don't have a great feeling about this.

Thanks for taking over and organising this meet Bob. It was a lovely weekend if you forget the 3 mile walk to a closed pub and the fright that Ruca gave me by launching himself into the canal at the only place he couldn't get himself out!!!! He'd walked 3 miles without jumping in as well!

The days were lovely and warm, the mornings and evenings a bit chilly but we snuggled down (Ruca and I). The meals were just as generous as ever. The company was excellent.

The last relay item will be at it's final destination next Monday.

I'll start to look at Eastnor ...

I was thinking of friday 23rd to Sunday 25 September. How's that weekend for you Bob? It closes on the 28th.
