Bongo Fury

Hi folks

Looking at organising Tackeroo 8, normally 3rd week or so in April. Just checked the forestry website and looks as if it's closed:

Any ideas?

Blimey, that's seems incredibly restricted for this year. So in the first half of the year the only weekends available are:

1. 27th March
2. 1st May
3. 8th May
4. 29th May
5. 5th June

Numbers 1, 2 & 4 above are all Bank Holiday weekends plus the first one is the same weekend as the Scottish bash at Dunbar. Which leaves the weekends of 8th May and 5th June the only realistic contenders. I'd suggest 7/8th May if anyone else fancies it?

I could be interested if Trish is free. I'll check with her.

I've just looked and it says:

Monday 21st March - Friday 1st April

Friday 29th April - Friday 8th May

Therefore, 7/8 May is not a weekend! I'm going back to have another look as these dates don't make sense.

It's a lovely place outside of the Bank Holidays, etc. And rallies get a cheaper rate. Same facilities as Tackeroo.

No dates published yet but may be worth watching.

I challenge their calendar, 8th May is a Sunday, they must be looking at a 2015 calendar

I like the Eastnor idea

I can vouch for Eastnor Castle.

We've always had a good welcome and there's great walks.

If we go the last w/e September it makes a lovely end to the 'Official' Bongo season. They often put on a spectacular firework display for us, too.

On the assumption that Eastnor is very much more readily available than Tackeroo appears to be this year - therefore Eastnor is available at will - is anyone up for Tackeroo on the weekend of 1st May?
