Replacement jack?

My 2.5D Bongo came without a jack. Does anyone know if and where I can get a suitable replacement? I looked at the ones in Halfords and it doesn't look like the handle will fit in the understep storage place and it would be nice if it did though not essential.

I do carry Holts Tyre Weld so do I even need to worry?

Ta,
Stewart

Agree with Bongo Spares, tyre repair gunk 'May' get you out of trouble, but it might not.

Just depends on the puncture.

You could carry a trolley jack, won't fit in the step locker but will be easier to use.

With a little imagination i reckon a standard suitably rated scissor jack, socket set ratchet handle, and suitably welded up length of rod (unless you have the original?) could be used for jacking and for operating the spare tyre cable release whilst being storable in the jack compartment.

Something like this should do as it has the concave saddle for the jacking points.

Have you got the straight rod and ratchet handle needed for releasing the spare tyre from its underfloor storage?

Excellent. Make sure you buy the heavier duty jack flagged up by Rita. It'd be interesting to see if the end could be modified to work with the standard Bongo bar and ratchet.
