A campsite we are going to has these terms and conditions:
OPEN FIRES and/or FIRE BUCKETS ARE STRICTLY FORBIDDEN both on the park and in the surrounding woodland areas. Chinese Lanterns are prohibited. They are dangerous, damaging and potentially life threatening.

Barbecues are permitted where they are on a stand and leave no scorch marks on the grass. The turf or ground must not be dug or interfered with in any way. Fire Extinguishers are provided on the park in the areas shown on the map. In the event of a fire please ensure that your caravan /motor home / tent is evacuated to a safe distance and raise the alarm. In the event of an emergency contact the wardens.

I was wanting to take the storm kettle to play around with it - but do you think it would be allowed?

I guess if not - I could still use it at the beach?

Sounds like your only option would be use it on a barbeque

That looks like a formidable bit of kit!
looking at the one on the website it shows it standing in a base and the burning twigs covered by the device. So not open like a bucket.
I would have thought that providing you don`t have sparks flying from the exhaust and it was stood on a gridding of some description raising it off the ground it would be OK.
Why not take it and show them it running?

Thanks for the replies.

The beach didn't have any terms and conditions regarding fires so used it loads there.

Showed the campsite and they were fine with it - we had a hardstanding so just did it on the slate chippings.

Works fantastically - free hot water and the kids love making the little fires to go in the bottom.
