Hi,
We have a 2000 Bongo, and all was well, until I went out to unlock it with the Remote today, and nothing! I have changed the batteries, twice, but no reaction from it. The 30amp fuse is fine. Any thoughts or ideas?

Which batteries have you changed?
Are all the other electrics working OK?
What make of remote unit has been fitted ?
Does the central locking work from the key OK?
Need some information to go on before we can make helpful suggestions!

Hi,
No other battery changed
Central locking and cigarette socket in front not working
Central locking works from the key ok.
I have checked every blade fuse I can find in the vehicle, all ok.

I guess you mean the battery in the remote fob has been changed ?
It sounds like the fault then is on the remote control side, is it an immobiliser system you have fitted or just a remote fob system ? The reason for asking is that remote fob's alone normally have the receiver and solenoid in the door itself, whilst immobilisers are fitted under the dashboard with extra wiring added to the drivers door loom to power the solenoid in the door. A common problem is that the drivers door loom wires work harden after years of use and individual wires break causing a wide variety of faults. Which ever you have that will be the location to start digging deeper.
